The Retro Pile Jacket in El Cap Khaki by Patagonia is an incredibly warm fleece that’s become somewhat iconic. It’s an invaluable midlayer for the cold months of the year, and can even serve as a full jacket on dry days.
Constructed from double-sided shearling fleece fabric – which is made from 100% recycled polyester – the Retro Pile is as sustainable as fleece come, while not compromising one bit on warmth or durability. Basically, Patagonia doing what it does best.
Ending just below the waistline and featuring a stand-up collar, you get more than enough coverage, while the soft elastane trim on the cuffs and hem add even more comfort.
The jacket’s exterior is soft and fluffy, while the interior is smoother. Its flat-seam design helps to maximise durability and minimise bulk and seam chafe.
Two zippered hand pockets plus a zippered chest pocket give you storage for your everyday carry. All zips have nice smooth mechanisms, with plenty of clearance between each zip and the fleece fabric (i.e. no catching).
